A Prime Example of Rosewood Plaques:

Rosewood Corporate Wall Plaque
Recently (since the late 1990's), another type of plaque has gained popularity. Rosewood plaques have taken some market share away from the traditional walnut-style plaque. A rosewood plaque can be described as being very similar to the wood plaque, but with a deep red or burgundy color.
The rosewood plaque has seen some evolution in the past few years. Originally, plaque suppliers took a walnut or other solid wood plaque and stained it red. For a couple of years, customers saw this as an interesting alternative, but the drawback was the shade of red stain that was used. The color ended up being too red.
Starting in the early 2000's, plaque manufacturers got the hint and engineered processes to deepen the color of the stain. The newer, richer color became very popular and is seen today as adding a modern look to the plaque. In addition to the stained solid wood version of the rosewood plaque, there are other plaque boards that are made out of real rosewood. These plaques come with more of a matte finish and are very exquisite looking. There are also rosewood plaques that are lacquer coated. The lacquer coated rosewood plaques add a shiny finish that is similar to the finish on pianos. These plaques are called piano finished rosewood plaques.
The above example is a rosewood plaque with a piano finish coating, slightly beveled edges, and square corners. It features a pre-fabricated brass plate with a florentine border that features a series of diamond embellishments. Trophies2Go offers custom engraved rosewood plaques for your special occasion.
